Mangalore, Jan 13: "Women grab most of the gold medals for academic excellence; while men are left chasing the 'chinna' (gold)," opined high court judge Mohan Shanthana Goudar here on Saturday January 12.

He was speaking at the inaugural function of the All-India Moot Court competition organised by S D M Law college. According to him nearly 40 per cent of the lawyers in Delhi High court are women. Moreover, he informed that by 2015 India may require at least 15,000 lawyers in various field. Those who are willing to stay in this course will earn a decent livelihood, he advised. The legal profession has a bright future and one should work hard towords it, he added.
