Udupi: Convention of Kaup Block Women Congress Held

Udupi, Jan 13:  The convention of Kaup Block Women Congress was held at Rajeev Bhavan, located in Kaup, near here on Saturday, January 12 morning. 

The convention was inaugurated by Veronica Cornelio, district president of Women Congress.

Gopal Poojary, Congressman and Byndoor MLA, while presiding over the convention, said that Congress party is like a large family which allows friendly relations to thrive for the betterment of party.  Nobody should encourage groupism and rebellion activities which are essentially curbed, in order to emerge victorious in the forthcoming legislative assembly polls, he advised.

Vasant Salian, ex-minister, in his key note address, urged the party activists convey the good work done by Congress ruled states and centre, to the voters, thereby gain leverage over other parties, during the forthcoming polls in the state.

Raju Poojary, president of Zilla Panchayat (ZP), Shrikar Suvarna, president of Kaup Block Congress Committee, Sarasu D Bangera, ZP member, Leena Mathias, Parvathy Bangera, TP members, Bhagyalaxmi, vice president of TP, Ignatius D’Souza, Gulshan Peer Mohammed, Susheel Bolar, Mallika Poojary, Nirmal Shetty, Congress leaders and others were present, at the occasion.

Geetha Wagle, president of Kaup Block Women Congress welcomed the gathering.
