Mangalore, Jan 26: Keith Pullin, chief adjudicator of Guinness World Records who visited the Daijiworld team working at the venue had tonnes of words of appreciation. Being amazed at the speed and the excellent photographs, he made a personal request to provide him photographs which he would preserve for his grand children.

“The quality of the singing and music is excellent, just what Guinness standards would ask for.” A very impressed Keith had lots of words of appreciation to the entire effort. The ambience, he said, was apt to the event and the was colourful and impressive.

It was the turn of group from Paldane to take over the baton of Konkani Nirantari from Shaktinagar.  It was another systematic and smooth transition without any chance for confusion whatsoever.

The Blessed Mother Teresa Parish Choir, Paldane

The group led by Sunil Monteiro began with Konkan Kogull Wilfy's song 'Amchea Ghora Eik Komblo'.  Just like the two previous groups, it was as perfect beginning for the next hour-long show by enthusiastic Paldane group.

The Paldane team was led by Sunil Monteiro and music directed by Regina Lizzy Fernandes.
The team comprised of Celine alvares, H Juvita D’Silva, Precilla D’Silva, Emilia Denogar, Nisha Janet Braggs, Sabrina Madhura D’Souza, Helen Crasta, Asumpta D’Souza, Gracian W Mathias, Rita Mathias, Alwyn Mathias, Veronica D’Souza, Merlin Lolita Monteiro, Chrishel Nisha Pinto, Ivy Diana Pinto, Maria Jyothi Monteiro, Patsy Monteiro, Hamita Santhmayor, Stephen Rajesh Monteiro, William Lobo, Joy Melwin Monteiro, Reema D’Souza, Melwin D’Souza, William F Fernandes, Marceline Fernandes, Glester D’Silva, Regina Lizzy Fernandes, Malini Nirmala Fernandes, Helen Braggs, Sunil Monteiro, Elias Fernandes, Hilda Benedicta, Monteiro, Janet Monteiro, Oswald D’Silva, Prashanth J Fernandes and Brian Joel D’Souza.

As the SRA Sisters completed their hour-long singing, the Shaktinagar group led by Fr Jayaprakash D'Souza took over the proceedings.  While the SRA Sisters served had begun the auspicious event with Konkani hymn and continued in the same tone, Shaktinagar group straightaway began with 'Kallzacho Gondo', one of the memorable compositions of Sangeet Samrat Henry D'Souza.  Though it was a transition from hymns to songs, it was such smooth and enchanting that hardly anyone could make out that SRA Sisters had quietly left the stage and handed over the baton to Shaktinagar group.

If this was the case with singers, it was still more interesting with audience.  While the first hour was smooth beginning for the entire day seeking God's blessings, the second hour was full of some of Konkani's evergreen songs such as 'Ye Ye Katrina', 'Hanv Eik Sopnneli', 'Phoolwali', etc.  Audience was indeed thrilled to hear some of the traditional and melodious Konkani numbers, thanks to Mandd Sobhann's venture Konkani Nirantari.
