Bengaluru, Dec 27: 'March 22' a movie by NRI entrepreneur Harish Sherigar's ACME Movies will see renowned actors Anant Nag and Lakshmi come together on screen after 16 years.
Appreciating the movie in a press meet conference held at Citadel Hotel, Bengaluru recently, Anant Nag said, "The film is based on a story which highlights that life is more important than religion and caste."
The movie is produced by well-known entrepreneur and singer from Dubai, Harish Sherigar and directed by renowned director Koodlu Ramakrishna. The making of the movie is underway and is progressing at brisk pace in Belagavi. Director Koodlu assured that it would truly be a unique film.
The muhurat for the movie was held at an ancient house with an 800-years history, 'Vade', that belongs to the Ratta kings, in the suburbs of Belagavi on Monday, November 7.
Addressing presspersons, the movie team said, "'March 22' is a special day worldwide as it is globally recognised as 'World Water Day'. The movie helps create awareness about the optimum use of water. But the other central theme of the movie goes much deeper and addresses differences in the society. One may find religious and caste-based disputes attributed to water. However, water has no such limitations, it is the essence of humankind and is beyond religion, caste or creed."
The team also added, aside from an emotional plot, 'March 22' casts several incredibly talented actors and actresses. Besides actors Anant Nag and Lakshmi, Aryawardan, Kiran Raj, Meghashree, Deepa Shetty, Sharath Lohitashwa, Ashish Vidhyarthi, Ravi Kale, Jai Jagadish, Vinaya Prasad, Padmaja Rao, Pavithra Lokesh, Sadhu Kokila have acted in the movie. Young artistes like Srajan Rai, Yuva Kishore, Dubai artistes Chidanand Poojary, Suvarna Sathish, including Mangaluru's Prashobhita Prabhakar and others have also acted in the movie.
Manikanth Kadri and N J Ravi Shekar have provided the music, and Mohan M, photography. Basavaraj Urs has edited the movie. The movie also displays art by Kadakol. Madan Harini has directed the dance sequences and stunt master Kungfu Chandru has directed the stunts. K Jagadish Reddy, Sharanya B and Nagaraj Hassan are the assistant directors, and Achutha Rao, production manager.
At the conference, actors Ananth Nag, Vinay Prasad, director Koodlu Ramakrishna, producer Harish Sherigar spoke in detail about the film. Sharmila Sherigar, wife of Harish Sherigar and the entire film unit, participated in the conference.
