Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (RJP)

Mangaluru, Jan 1: As per intelligence reports, it is believed that naxalites have planned to resume operations in some parts of Kerala. Naturally, the areas bordering with Karnataka state, especially Dakshina Kannada district have become vulnerable due to this fact.

Though the naxalites intend to restrict their activities to southern parts of Kerala, naxalites using the northern parts of Kerala for hiding purposes are very strong, sources said.

Kasargod, Kannur, Kozhikode and Payyanur areas on high alert, presently. Naxalites are expected to use the thick forest of these areas for their advantage.
The information has been passed to the police in Karnataka also.

Mangaluru city and other parts of Dakshina Kannada, mainly Puttur and Sullia, are the places which are in the danger zone due to their proximity to northern parts of Kerala.
