Bahrain: Nobleman Award to Kannada RJ Kamalaksha Amin

Bahrain, Mar 16: Kamalaksha Amin of Bahrain was honoured with “Nobleman Award” during the 5th All India Kannada Cultural Convention held in Vapi of Gujarat state on 16th & 17th February 2008. The award was in recognition of his monolithic service to Kannada language & culture. The convention was jointly organized by Vapi Kannada Sangha & Hridayavahini News paper with the presence of more than 120 artists & dignitaries from all over India.
On the 2nd day of the convention the President, renowned Kannada writer & Novelist Dr.Sumathindra Nadig honoured Kamalaksha Amin with shawl, memento & the “Nobleman Award”. The managing Trustee of Kollur Temple Sri. Krishna Prasad Adyanthaya, Surat Kannada Sangha President Radhakrishna Shetty, Hridayavahini editor Manjunath Sagar, well known Industrialist Ganesh Rao, President of Kuwait Karnataka Sangha Sudhakar Shetty, former President of Bahrain Kannada Sangha Rajkumar were also present on the stage.
With his immense talents & dedicated service for the last 15 years in Bahrain, Kamalaksha Amin has accomplished the art of promoting the Kannada language & culture. He has served Kannada Sangha Bahrain & Guru Seva Samiti Bahrain as Entertainment Secretary for the past several years. He is well known for his “Kasturi Kannada” programme in Voice FM 104.2
His rich cultural bonding with symbol of solemnity, quality performance, dynamism & interactive credentials has paved the way for the “Nobleman Award”. A man of noble deeds has achieved the deserving award.
