Stop 'Mann ki baat', start 'Gun ki baat', Thackeray tells Modi

Mumbai, May 2 (IANS): Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stop his "Mann ki Baat" and instead start "Gun ki Baat" to teach Pakistan a lesson.

In a sharp reaction to the recent killing and the mutilation of two Indian soldiers on the Line of Control, Thackeray said Kashmir is "burning" and the government must take action.

"Its time to stop 'Mann ki Baat' and start 'Gun ki Baat' against Pakistan," he demanded in a reference referring to the PM's monthly radio broadcast.

Earlier, Maharashtra minister Ramdas Kadam, of the Sena, took potshots at Modi, saying he should concentrate more on national security than elections.

"What's stopping the centre from taking direct action against Pakistan? How many more soldiers should be lose and how many more widows we should see before India does something?" he said, demanding direct action against the neighbouring the country for its aggressive acts.

Shiv Sena - a constituent of the National Democratic Alliance - also urged the central government to convene an all-party meeting to discuss, what, it said, was the "worsening situation" in Jammu and Kashmir.

"What is happening is serious. It is very sad," said Sena Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut.

"We are such a big country and yet these things are happening. It does not portend well for us. As a nation, we have to take some decisions. There should be an all-party meeting to discuss the happenings in Jammu and Kashmir and on the Line of Control," Raut told media here.

The demand by the Sena, also a part of the BJP-led coalition ruling Maharashtra, comes after a spurt in violence in the state and killing annd mutilation of the bodies of two Indian soldiers by a Border Action Team of Pakistan on Monday.

On several occasions earlier, the Sena and Thackeray have demanded tough action by India against Pakistan for its continued aggression from across the border.

Other than false promises, assurances and hollow talks, this government has no solution for recurring deaths of our soldiers. Though I am a pro AAP, earlier Congress government was far better and this type of incidents hardly happened. Nowadays, our soldiers are being killed on almost daily basis. What happened to 56" ? Deflate ho gaya kya ? Stop cow protection and start to protect our soldiers who protect our motherland. Jai Hind.

It is Shiv Sena's hidden agenda.
Basically they are angry with the removal of Red Beacon Lights for VIP's which has made them like common people.
It is true that our soldiers are dying but taking more severe action will kill more soldiers (and not politicians) .
Again, the common man and his family suffers.

Paki Army is a parallel government altogether, Sharif can't do anything. They are like rabid canine, never know which side they run and start killing.

Where is MM Joshi who called MMS 'Napunsak' ? How come he doesn't have time to give the same title for the present PM ?

It's very surprising that Pak army came 250 meter inside Indian side of LOC, killed our jawans and even mutilated thier bodies!!!. What our army is at the border, just waiting for it to happen, even after surgical strikes???. In fact this is surgical strikes by Pak army. This definitely wasn't the situation when other govt was in the center. This is too much and doesn't look like govt has any solution to this reoccurring menace except talking, faking and assurance by false promises.

It is very sad to see supposedly educated people talk this way about the army, especially after such an incident. Its easy to sit behind your screens and comment. This should not be a political issue, everyone must stand united and support the government in the next steps that it should take. Please don't demoralize the army with your nonsensical comments!!
