The sudden sad demise of Mr. Kalkady Ramanand Rai for a moment took the wind out of my sail. I was and am for sure one of the fans of K.R.Rai sometime back say two decades ago. I met personally Mr. K. R. Rai in Akashvani recording studio while I was chosen for a Konkani famous programme that used to be broadcasted at 6.15 PM in the evening. Mr. K.R.Rai and his death is a huge blow not only to Akashvani but also to his Mangalore fans who undoubtedly heard his superb booming voice.

I pray to Almighty along with my entire family to grant peace to his Soul and Rest In Peace. My deep sympathis to departed K.R.Rai's wife, son and daughter.
