Bahrain, May 8: Further to earlier announcement from Bahrain, we are happy to announce that BAHRAIN will also be the venue for competitors from the Mangalorean community residing in Dammam, Al Khobar and Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, for the Gulf Voice of Mangalore Konkani Singing competition preliminary and semi-finals rounds.
All those residing from these areas in Saudi Arabia and interested in taking part in the Konkani Singing Competition are kindly requested to send in their competitor registration/application forms along with other requirements to the following:

Bahrain: Gulf Voice of Mangalore - Auditions on Jun 6
Bahrain, May 1: Karavali Konkans Association, Bahrain, on behalf of The Youth Club of Kuwait, presents, the GULF VOICE OF MANGALORE reality Konkani Singing Competition to the amateur singers of Mangalorean origin residing in Bahrain, born on or before the 15th October, 1990. Kindly note that those holding temporary or visit Visas for Bahrain, are not eligible for this competition.
The auditions and preliminary rounds of the contest will be held on Friday, 6th June, 2008, from 10.30 a.m. onwards at the Karnataka Social Club premises, 1st Floor Cultural Hall. 12 (Twelve) best singers will be selected on this day by a local preliminary judging panel for the Semi-finals contest.
The Semi-finals leg of the Contest will be held in Bahrain on 9th October, 2008, at a venue to be announced later by a jury comprising Konkani’s favourite singing artistes, viz. Wilfy Rebimbus, Melvyn Peris and Joel Pereira where 2 best finalists will be selected for the grand finale Gulf Voice of Mangalore Competition that will be held in Kuwait on 17th October, 2008.
Any one of you could be crowned the “Gulf Voice of Mangalore” singing title with which comes a handsome prize of Rs.100,000/-.
