Mangalore: Seven Arrested for Murdering Two during Kasargod Riots

Mangalore, May 3: The Kasargod police have cracked down on seven persons who are suspected to have committed the murders of Haji C M Mohammad Kunhi and Mohammad Sinan during the recent violence that hit Kasargod district in Kerala.
Out of the seven, Kiran Kumar (son of Shivan), Nitin Kumar (son of Krishna Nayak) and Jyothish (son of Gopalkrishnan) have been arrested for the murder of Mohammed Sinan.
Shivaprasad alias Sivan (son of Mahalingan), Santosh (son of Babu Nayak), Ajit Kumar (son of Raghavan) and Kishore Kumar (son of Madhavan) have been been arrested for the murder of Haji Mohammed Kunhi.
According to sources, the first three culprits were caught in Kankanady here while the other four were arrested just when they were about to flee to Sringeri from here.
The police team was led by Kasargod deputy superintendent of police Kuriakose.
