Mangalore, Jun 1: One may wail  and cry if a tiny piece of glass pokes his body. Here is a piercing  story of a  college student who made the bed of glass pieces to lay on it as if it was a bed of roses. Sagar, an alumnus of St Aloysius College, pulled off  this glass stunt on the Panambur beach on Sunday June 1.

The stunt began at about 4 pm on the beach. He first  laid himself  on glass pieces .  A special stage was set for this purpose and the glass pieces were spread inside a box made out of glass resembling a coffin. Sagar presented the glass stunt in this box.  His associates poured glass pieces  on his body until he was fully covered.  Hundreds of spectators strolling on the beach were astonished  to watch this marvelous stunt.  People surged forward to view Sagar at close quarters.  This  dangerous real life stunt was performed the  first time on
Panambur beach.

Sagar was inspired by David Blaine and Chris Angel, famous TV magic show professionals.   It was agonizing moments for Sagar’s mother  to watch her son lying on  glass pieces. However, she expressed her  joy when the
adventure was finally over.   Sagar  acknowledges  the moral support extended by his mother and elder sister Shilpa.  He laid on the glass pieces for almost for 2 hours. It is beyond doubt that it is a record in the history of Dakshina Kannada district . Sagar now plans to perform many such adventurous acts in the coming days.
