Mangalore, Jun 3: With the conclusion of the IPL cricket tournament, a 100-not out is for everybody to understand!  This is what  Dr Edward Nazareth has recently achieved, though not with the bat and  ball but rather with his pen. He has successfully completed  his 100th  question and answer column exclusively written for daijiworld readers.

During the past five years Dr Nazareth  has answered hundreds of questions on various health related  issues.  Many  readers  have expressed their profound  gratitude as his guidance has helped them overcome their health problems.

Though the column 'Ask Doctor' does not provide online consultation or a guaranteed  cure for any problems, it is  a fact that  the column has educated thousands of daijiworld readers worldwide.  Interestingly the column has attracted  readers of all  age-groups and it continues to be one of the most popular columns on daijiworld.com

Dr Nazareth is popular within and outside the Mangalorean  community for his professional consultation as well as  his writing skills. He writes  health columns for  a number of Konkani periodicals.  Presently he is  Professor and Head of the Department of Orthopedics at Fr Muller Medical College, Mangalore.

Dr Nazareth was  recently  a recipient of the Rachana award for his outstanding contribution to  society in imparting knowledge on health.

He is also won the recently contested MCC Bank  elections  as director of the Bank.

" I have actively involved  myself in the diocesan mission for the youth and felt the strong need of writing a  book on sex education long back in 1994. The book was well accepted. Later I also published a book for married couples.  I studied several books and involved myself in voluntary study of medicine for sexuality. This knowledge has helped to answer many questions related to sexuality" says Dr Edward Nazareth

"I do study and read books and at times gather information from medical web sites. I then translate this information into simple  language so that the common man understands it easily.”  he says.
"

"The main aim of the column is to help site visitors to get proper information related to their health problems. I understand that many who visit the site  read these  columns and are greatly benefited by it."  Says  Dr Nazareth

On this glorious occasion, Daijiworld  on behalf of its readers worldwide thanks and congratulates  Dr Nazareth for his patient endurance, commitment and interest in contributing to this column in spite of his  hectic professional schedule.

On this special occasion we would like to remember a prominent  daijiworld well-wisher and Konkani great, the  late Mickmax who was largely responsible in introducing this column  to daijiworld.  Though Mickmax is not among us today, his inspiration and guidance will always be remembered here at daijiworld

We would like to request our readers to bear with us for any delay caused  in answering the questions.  While we take utmost care to cater to queries from our readers, time and space constraints do not permit us to publish every individual query.

We request your continued  support for this health column.

Very healthy and rewarding column indeed and perhaps one of the best on this website - according to my own evaluation. It serves the high and low profile clientele at the same time. Our community is privileged to have such very few professionals around us to enlighten our minds with valuable tips which contribute to our life immensely.

Seeking consultancy on health and legal matters can be very personal and sensitive at times, but Dr. Edward has never let us down. Such a blessed all rounder he is - a poet, a novelist, a physician and most of all a humble human being as I understand from the ones who know him closely, our friend Mick Max must be having a gala time realizing the fruit of his worthy effort.

I only wish and pray that the kinds of professionals of Dr. Edward’s caliber grow large in number and serve our community, irrespective of caste, creed or religion. Three cheers to Dr. Edward Nazareth.

Congratulations Dr.Edward.I have read your articles in Raknno and this column of questions-answers. Your articles really clear the doubts about something for which we have to see the specialists taing appointments and waiting for long hours. Your love towards Konkani is much appreciated. I met you once with my teenaged son for a bad headache though you are a bone specialist. Your counselling worked and my son's headache disappeared. This happened in 1994. Since then, I am a fan of yours. I pray for you to bless you more.
