Bangalore: 36,000 Temples to Pray for Yeddyurappa!

Bangalore, Jun 12: Guess how one can bail Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa out of his trouble? Perform archana in the CM’s name in all temples! Or, at least, this is what Muzarai Minister Krishnaiah Shetty strongly believes.

In fact, the Minister has issued an order dated June 9, directing all 36,000 Muzarai temples across the State to perform archana in the name of Yeddyurappa and State government every day.

The order says: "For overall development of the State, well-being of people and peace and harmony, perform archana in the name of CM and the State Government." It also says it is an order from Muzarai Minister. The order is signed by the then Muzarai Commissioner T Sham Bhatt.

Shetty has, however, strongly defended his action saying that there is nothing wrong.

"The order has been issued with good intention. I have immense faith in god. So I give this order for the good of the State," he stated.

The Congress, meanwhile, has taken exception to the Muzarai minister’s action saying that Government machinery has been misused for the personal gains. The party spokesperson Ugrappa also distributed the copy of the order to the media.

The muzrai minister must realise, in democracy, the subjects are God. One step further, its also true 'Janaseveye Janardhana seve'. Sycophancy practiced in any form is detrimental to healthy democracy. We have no dearth of Gods and God men in our society. What we need is someone in forefront who works for the people. For God’s sake stop this baloney and don’t waste public money in the name of God.

This is absolute nonsense. Even God is being taken into politics. I do not understand when these politicians will understand the difference between religion and robber.

By praying or offering poojas in the temple will not solve the people problems in the State. The govt should do it in action, not just promissing everything.Action is better than precept or KAYAKAVE KAILASA thus said the elders.

By praying or offering or making pujas aslone will not benefit the people of Karnataka.Bieng a supporter of BJP i insist the Govt to do things in action.Action is better than precept or KAYAKAVE KAILASA1.And about destroying the public property in the recent riots in davanagere, the govt should meet the requirements of the farmers immidietely and at the same time it should maintain the peace strictly by arresting the miscrants.I hope Mr.Chief Minister will carry out the same.
