Mangalore, Jun 20: The installation ceremony of Office Bearers for the year 2008-09 of Mangalore Toastmasters Club took place recently at Hotel Abhiman Residency, Bunts Hostel Circle, Mangalore. Fr Melvin Pinto, Principal of St. Aloysius High School was the chief guest on the occasion. 19 new members were inducted into the club and the following were installed as the office bearers for the current year:

Nivedita Mirajkar was felicitated with the ‘Champion Speaker of the Year 2008’ Award for having won the International Prepared Speech Contest and International Impromptu Speech Contest at Ovations 2008 district conference held at Bangalore.
Savita E. Shenoy was conferred with the ‘Outstanding Toastmaster of the Year 2008’ award.
