Mangalore: Poojary Inaugurates Narayan Guru Auditorium at Sultan Battery

Mangalore, Jun 22: Narayan Guru Auditorium built by Urva-Ashoknagar Billava Association near Sultan Battery, here was inaugurated on Sunday June 22.
Former union minister Janardhan Poojary inaugurated the auditorium and called on the community members to follow the humanitarian ideologies of Narayan Guru.
Meanwhile, he asked the minister Krishna Palemar to take steps in eradicating Chikun Gunya that has been alarmingly affecting the people across the Dakshina Kannada and undertaking urgent repair works on highways in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Krishna Palemar told that Chikun Gunya is under control in the district owing to the assistances of doctors from six medical colleges, he informed.
Palemar also urged the residents of city to keep their areas clean without giving any scope for mosquitoes to breed, in order to eliminate Chikungunya.
Ananthakrishna, chairman of Karnataka Bank released souvenir ‘Smruthi’ on the occasion.
MLAs Vasant Bangera, Yogish Bhat and Ramanath Rai were also present on the dais.
