Dubai: Jovin D'Souza Elected President of Emirates Pangalites

Dubai, Jul 1 : Jovin D'souza has been unanimously elected as president of Emirates Panagalites, Dubai during the 6th Annual general body meeting held at Shezen Restaurant, Karama, Dubai.

Jovin is a dynamic youth leader and a quiet behind-the-scene person, ex president of CYM, Shankerpura, having a handful experience in leadership served in the Emirates Pangalites as a vice president as well as General Secretary during the past years.

The occasion was graced by the presence of founder members, ex-presidents and the current committee members of Emirates Pangalites.

The meeting started with a prayer from Ignatius Alva followed by Welcome speech from the outgoing president Joel Quadras.

Ashwin Dsouza, secretary for 2007 -08 presented the annual report to the gathering followed by the finance report from the outgoing treasurer Dolphy D'mello.

Ignitius Alva, a co-ordinator for Kolalgiri charitable trust, presented the brief summary of sponsoring poor children's with food, clothing and education for 33 students under the banner of Emirates Pangalites from past three years.

The Election for the committee members started with a motivational speech from ex-presidents Joel Quadras & Micky Castalino.

The following members were elected unanimously for the year 2008-09
 
President: Jovin D,souza
Vice President: Shaila D'Mello.
Secretary: Merlin Castelino.
Treasurer: Dolphy D'Mello
Cultural Secretary: Clevin Dsouza.

Media Representative : Hilda Pinto, Ignatius Alva and Melvin D'Mello

Joint Cultural Secretary: Ashwin Dsouza & Vinay Vaz

Advisory Committee: Micky Castelino, Alban Castalino, Alwyn D'mello & Paul Quadras.

Core Committee members: Herald Menezes, John Fernades, Vincent Barboza,

Current office bearers handed over the duties to the newly elected. The out-going President thanked the committee and the members for their consistent support during their term and wished new office bearers all success.
