Mangalore, Jul 8: Whether he is an artist or not, the photographer is a joyous sensualist, for the simple reason that the eye traffics in feelings, not in thoughts. Photography deals exclusively with appearances, but nothing is what it appears to be. Therefore photography is catching a moment which is passing, and which is true. Accordingly as a powerful medium of expression and communications, it offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution. It has the capacity to provide images of man and his environment that are both works of art and moments in history.
However, photography can represent only the present and once photographed, the subject becomes part of the past. But Daijiworld's young and dynamic photographer Dayanand Kukkaje is an exception for this adage. His agility and eye for strange yet interesting subjects set him apart from other photographers. Though basically he is a self-styled and self-trained photographer, his photographs at times even compete with the best in the business. Here's a proof for his immense talent. During one of recent visits to famed 'Narahari' hills near Panemangalore, he captured some stunning scenes of Mother Nature from the top of the hill. Today we present some of those top of the drawer photographs by this up and coming photo journalist.
Wasn't it a great journey through God's extraordinary creation, best known as 'Nature?' Those who have had personal experience of scaling Narahari hills and having a look at the picturesque nature surrounding it, with Western Ghats on one side and the gorgeous Arabian Sea on the other, must have relived their memory now. Hope you will have plenty to say after this superb sojourn through nature's glory. So, put your thoughts in words and rush them to us.
