Udupi: Atul’s Wife Meera Rao Alleges Harassment by Raghupati Bhat Loyals

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (RD/CN)

Udupi, Jul 9: Meera Rao, wife of Atul Rao, the prime suspect in the Padmapriya case, has alleged that she and her whole family have been subjected to mental agony by MLA Raghupathy Bhat, even as the matter is in court.

‘We had no known enemies so far, but now we need protection for the entire family since it’s unfortunate that the supporters of MLA Raghupathy Bhat are taking law into their hands as the court proceedings related to Padmapriya’s case are underway,’ alleged Meera.

She also pointed out the role of supporters of Bhat in pressurizing the doctors at two well known private hospitals, to deny Atul Rao the best medical care during his acute bout of asthma. She added that it was a tragedy that she had to appeal to the court seeking adequate health care for her husband.

Meera, her two children, and mother-in-law Usha Rao, are residing at the HUDCO housing colony, located at Doddanagudde near here, and have been provided police protection.

Please put Atul under narco and get all the truth out instead of physical, mental torture and go after real people.

Shame on you Mr. Bhat, you are a beast and not a human being.Excuse me for my comments. You are harrassing an innocent woman whose husband has been arrested for your bad deeds. You must have sent Atul to Delhi with your wife promising him that if there was trouble you would support him as your party is in power.

Do you have a conscience? Your wife is dead. You would have gained some respect from the people if you had to help Atul and his family rather than harrassing them.Once your party is out of power, a day will definitely come when you will be in trouble.Shame on you.

The fire that MLA Mr. Raghupathi bhat has lit the dead body of Ms. Padmapriya has reached Home Minister's office. Police Dept. is obviously reluctant to announce the autopsy report. Dept. has completely changed their direction of investigation & only concentrated on the allegation made by MLA Mr. Raghupathy Bhat on Mr. Atul Rao.

According to them physical & mental torturing to Atul Rao is the way of investigation. No honest investigation is going on the death case. Ms. Padmapriya ran to Delhi only due to the fear of MLA & his family. It is known to every one that her family life was not happy at all.

Inspite of these facts, the police dept. have not taken the matter very serious and hence even not considered filtering the allegations made by MLA. Now Indict name is given only to Atul Rao. They just need to torture him mentally & physically and even denied the medical protection so that he should have a worst custody death. So that the chapter will be closed forever.

Yes. Atul's wife Ms. Meera has opened her mouth & disclosed the fact to the public that Police Dept is denying the medical requirements to her husband and even MLA's family is threatening her family. So far Atuls' family was kept quite without opening the mouth. Now they have opened because they realised that Atul's life is in danger.

Now the remaining question is that why MLA Bhat & police dept. is looking for Atul's life to end?. This is a concerning statement made by Ms. Meera wife of Atul Rao and also a warning to the police dept. if they really wants to investigate the case very honestly. We can not deny that Ms. Padma's death has no connection to the negligence of police dept.

They have not learnt any lesson from that tragedy. It seems that they don't want to be alert even after Meera's statement. Police dept's these ignorance will definetely invite more & more tragedies in the regeion that too in the near future. No doubt. Eveything has been kept secret. It is now quite long time they have been enquiring Mr. Atul Rao in & out of custody.

Where are those reports?. Not only that he has been denied the medical needs, some hidden hands even tried to kill him inside the custody!!. These accusations were not made by anybody but only his wife Ms. Meera. More seriously she has directly pointed her finger towards MLA Bhat husband of Ms. Padmapriya!!!. We can not even deny that Atul has not disclosed certain truths.

He has kept some secretes with him. He is just dreaming on some psuedo assurances given by MLA. Atul should not dream on these assurances. He should open his mouth and tell the truth. Atleast let Ms. Padmapriya's soul have some peace & gratitude. If Atul did not break his silence - it is true that there are some hidden hands looking for a chance to make him silent for ever.

Can we call this Yeddi`s Raj ?? Or else why a case as sensitive as the death of a MLA is being covered by the ruling party?? The Opposition is sleeping as usual?? Can hand over the case to the CBI who will be neutral and bring the TRUTH out in to the open ?? Is yeddi Party hiding something ?? It is high time The honourable chief ministed involved and proved he is for the common man and not busy covering up a case in his back yard as The Home minister is doing.

It does not matter who is the criminal Justice has to be done... May be Mr. Rao is the culprit !!!. Let us not cover up and silence the man who does not seem to have much say and no followers.. Or else soon the whole issue will be forgotten. we already have many versions since the person went missing till this day as to what really happened.... It is terror to harass the family of Mr. Rao ( assumed suspect..) and the administration is very well engaged in this one issue and we do not see any positive action sice coming to power...

It's really difficult to say whether Atuls family is innocent or not,But I personally feel this case will not find an end soon coz may be there is an involvement of many people.By all means CBI should handle this case and and punish the culprit.

It is hightime that this case be handed over to the CBI. Why harrass the innocent family of Rao. The case is being twisted very now and then. The police are playing their game very weel under the protection of Dirty politics after all.By now the public already know who the culprit is .............. so why not bring out the truth.

Jayant Shetty is a sincere police officer. but some unseen forces have tied his hands. What to do? Everything has been controlled by our politicians and these police officers are acting as per the guidences given by the politicians.

All said and done I fail to understand how can the police keep Atul Rao in thier custody?( for so long b'coz he is just a witness or rather a suspect) Why cant they reach the real culprits? Why is the IGP not grilling Jayanth Shetty for he was around when e'thing took place? Why is Atul made a scapegoat? Looks like Mr. Jayanth shetty who is on the verge of retirement is too scared to get himself entangled with political bigwigs!!!!! Mr. Jayanth shetty knows it very well, moment he opens the truth in public he will languish in a desert or worse. (may not be in jail like Atul)

While a husband is bothered only about his political and self interest, why would a police officer get himself in trouble and debate? Deep in my heart I know that truth shall prevail and justice will be done not by the powerful but by the "Supreme" power.

BJP govt will protect Raghupathi Bhat and not Meera Rao.Thats why the case should be handled by the CBI and not the police.

I am not saying what Athul Rao has done is right. However to bring the truth out, proper medical care and police protection must be given to him. Till date Athul is an accused and not a convict. Therefore he is a rightful citizen of his fundamental rights. We are living in a civilized society.

It is a pity that the government is not able to put an end to this harrasment. Why should the family members be tortured for no fault of theirs. They should be given police protection and access to proper medical care.
