Mumbai: Gurunarayana Night High School celebrates 57th anniversary

Mumbai, Jan 15: Gurunarayana Night High School convened by Billavara Association held its 57th anniversary and annual prize distribution programme at Narayana Guru auditorium, Santacruz here on Saturday evening January 13.

Former editor of Akshaya magazine and Bharath Bank director M B Kukyan lit the lamp and inaugurated the programme. Former president of Billavara Association, president of Kannada Sangha Santacruz and chief guest of the programme, L V Ameen addressed the students.

Association chief secretary Dharmapal G Anchan delivered the keynote address.

Teachers Shivaraj Patil, M I Badigera, Siddaramaiah Dashamani, Mohini Poojary, Hema Gowda, Navitha S Suvarna, Vimala D S, Mallesh Gowda, Sunil Patil, student representative Kashinath L Mankoji, old student association president Ravi Bangera, hundreds of students and others were present.



The programme began with a prayer song by female students. School sub committee president Bannanje Ravindra Ameen welcomed everyone. Ananda Poojary introduced the guests.

School headmaster Ramachandrayya C read the annual report and compered the programme. Teacher M I Badigera proposed the vote of thanks. Students presented an entertainment programme and performed a drama titled 'Aviveki Arasa Ajnyani Prajegalu' written by teachers and directed by teacher Siddarama Dashamani.
