Dubai, Jul 29: Pamboor Welfare Association, Dubai has unanimously elected  Daniel Clavy Saldanha as President for the year 2008-09 during the general body meeting held at Winny’s Restaurant, Karama, Dubai with delightful buffae lunch.

Daniel Clavy Saldanha ia a known personality among Pamboorians and neighbor parishes and one of the founder and active member of the organization throughout its existence since 2000.

The P..W..A… is a popular organization in Dubai and very well known in Dubai/UAE for their active involvement in different activities, charitable deeds, etc.. This is only because of the strong abilities of each and every member of the organization, brought forward from a small but powerful parish back home, Pamboor(Shantipura) parish. Also the selfless services offered by the past Presidents’ and members, is definitely a key factor for the continued success and its growth.

The occasion was graced by the presence of the founder members, ex-presidents and the current committee members of the P..W..A…  The meeting started with prayer followed by welcome speech from outgoing president Ambrose D’souza.

All the members have shown good enthusiasm and cheering spirit throughout the election process to elect the office bearers.  Current office bearers handed over the responsibilities to the newly elected. The outgoing president thanked all for their support during his term and wished all success to the new committee.    

 The meeting then continued by the newly elected President & committee. The president gave a formal vote of thanks for the new team & members and sought for their continued support and involvement to make the association more lively & strong.  Discussed on up-coming events such as celebration of Monti fest & Family get together.  Also, decided to extend the immediate financial help for the needy and the less fortunate children studying in the Pamboor church school. The meeting adjourned with the thanks giving speech by Secretary.

Secretary:                Agnel Prakash

Deputy Secretary:    Roshni Noronha

Treasurer:                Paskal Mathais

Cultural Secretary:    Veronica Alva 

Financé Committee Members:  Santhan Alva & Diney D’souza
