Mumbai: Kannada Sahitya Parishat calls to make conference of Kannadigas successful

Mumbai, Feb 10: “The number of Kannadigas in Mumbai is high. Their representation is possible by discussions and dialogues. The work of Kannada progresses amazingly in Mumbai. Let us unite and work harder for Kannada,” said Kannada Sahitya Parishat Bengaluru president Dr Manu Baligar.

He was explaining about the second upcoming national conference of Kannadigas in Mumbai at a press conference held at Mysore Association mini hall, Matunga east on Thursday evening February 8.



The two-day long conference is scheduled at Andheri east on Feb 10 and Feb 11. The conference in which nearly thirty groups and associations will take part will be led by Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Bengaluru.

Four discussion forums and one poetic discussion will be held at the conference. It will consist of dances, Janapada singing and variety cultural programmes. Sri Guru Narayana Yakshagana mandali will present Yakshagana.

Mysore Association Mumbai chief secretary Dr Ganapathi Shankeralinga, Dr B R Manjunath and K Manjunathayya gave the details of the preparations for the conference.
