Mangalore, Aug 11: Mangalore Special Economic Zone Ltd (MSEZ) organized the inaugural ceremony of special course in engineering for the second batch of candidates from the project displaced families, at Karnataka Government Polytechnic, Mangalore today.
Dakshina Kannada district in charge minister J Krihna Palemar who inaugurated the course by lighting a lamp, wished the candidates a bright future. He stressed, that he will not allow the proposed PCPIR project to be set up in the industry, in view of various problems it will bring for the people of the distrit and also that the people are against it.
Mangalore south MLA N Yogish Bhat presided. Commissioner-Director of Techical Education Bangalore Mahendra Jain, Ex Suratkal MLA Vijay Kumar Shetty and Permude, Kalavaru Bajpe Hitharakshana Samithi president Bhujanga Shetty addressed the gathering.
Prabhulinga Kavalkatti of KIADB and Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Kumble Narasimha Prabhu were present. I S N Prasad, MSEZ chief executive officer spoke a few words.
