Mangalore: Bharatanatyam 'Rangapravesha' of Ruth Prithika Held at Town Hall

Mangalore, Aug 17: The Bharatanatyam 'rangapravesha' of Ruth Prithika, daughter of Dr Roshan Maben and Dr E V S Maben, Bejai, was held at the Town Hall, on Saturday, August 16.
Natyacharya Prof K Ram Murthi was the chief guest while retired bishop, Christian Society of India (CSI), Karnataka southern diocese, and Dr D R Sadananda, professor, Karnataka Theological College, were the guests of honour. Ullal Mohan Kumar, Karnataka 'Kala Thilaka Natya', graced the occasion.
Ruth Prithika is a student of Class VII at St Theresa’s School, and a disciple of Vidhushi Uma K, who imparts training in dance through her own institute, ‘Nrityashree Nrithyalaya’, in the city.
Ruth's parents recognized her dancing skills at the age of four and has trained in Bharatanatyam since then. Ruth’s maiden show was a well-deserved tribute to her mentor. Manohar Prasad, chief correspondent, Udayavani, compered the programme.
