Mangalore, Aug 21: Karuvolu Deranna Shetty and Kattinabailu Shivaram Shetty have received World Bunts Foundation Award in recognition to their contribution to yakshagana at the foundation's annual conference and felicitation programme held at A B Shetty Centenary Hall on Wednesday August 20.

Dr B R Shetty, president of the foundation presented the award. Speaking on the occasion he asked the students to come up with indelible achievements in all sections including sports and education.

Dr Shantaram Shetty, vice-chancellor of KSHEMA opined that Bunts organizations should try to bring more IAS and IPS officers from the community.

Malathi S Alva, vice-president of the foundation, Dr K R Shetty programme director, president of Foundation of Bunts Associations Ajith Kumar Rai, Foundation's secretary Jyothi Prasad Hegde and treasurer Gopal Shetty were also present on the occasion.
