Pahmos: Tiny food haven to lift mood, tickle your taste buds

Noida, Apr 19 (IANS): Fancy a quick bite and devilishly sinful chocolate shake? Then drop by Pahmos -- a tiny, trendy café that offers a tempting spread of global fusion cuisine for you to gorge on without burning a hole in pocket. The vast menu aims to galvanize the taste buds of both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

Located in Gardens Galleria Mall, Pahmos -- an amalgamation of "Pa-asta" and Mo-mos" -- has a casual, chic vibe. The interiors are artistic, vibrant, and the walls are decorated with elaborate installations made with matchsticks and beer caps. This charming set-up has the theme of expressions and believes there is "food for every mood".

The menu presents an innovate blend of Indian, Mexican, Chinese, Thai, Italian and Continental cuisines to satiate one's palate.

I kick-started the evening with the "freak" devil chocolate shake with savoury bites of brownies. It was served in a skull-shaped mug with dollops of whipped cream. Absolutely yummy, leaving one "happy high" on chocolate. It is a must-try.

For starters, I ordered cheesy baked fries with smokey bbq sauce. As the name suggests, these were loaded with cheese, crisp and served blazing hot.

Next in the line were cheesy mushroom and zucchini fritters served with tarter dip. Though crunchy, this item lacked flavour and hence can be skipped.

My favourite appetizer was Capt Morgan BBQ wings. These were mighty delicious and had a beautiful presentation. The bbq sauce was a treat to the taste buds and cooked to perfection. A must-try.

Chicken morsel -- herb marinated chicken coated with pesto sauce -- is another starter worth mentioning. It was succulent and each bite was flavourful.

These starters can be enjoyed with mocktails like milli shocker -- a refreshing drink combining crushed watermelon, passion fruit, mint and soda -- and betel mojito for those who love paan flavour. It was light and soothing.

For the main course, non-vegetarians must go for chicken 'd' remoulade -- pocket shaped chicken breast served with artichoke, mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. It was quiet innovative and tasty.

Then there is a wide range of sizzlers from fish fillet, which is served on risotto with exotic grilled veggies and tarter dip, to delicious butter chicken sizzler as well as shahi paneer sizzler.

When it comes to dimsums, you will be spoilt for choice -- from mouth-watering tandoori dimsums to zesty bbq rum dimsums.

Vegetarians must have white sauce alfredo pasta. It was extremely creamy and toasted in butter sauce. I loved it. Another highly recommended dish is their pan fried noodles served with colourful, crispy veggies in tangy garlic sauce.

There is an amazing variety of pizzas, burgers and salads as well.

Coming down to the dessert section, there are limited choices, but one cannot complain after having their enticing brownie sundae served with ice-cream.

Overall, Pahmos has an impressive menu that surely makes it worth a visit.
