Beltangady: Ujire Church Attack : Police Achieve Breakthrough, Arrest Three Men

Beltangady, Sep 18: After a statement issued by various Hindu outfits of the Sangh Parivar that they were in no way connected with the attack on Ujire church, besides condemning the attack and affirming that they are opposed only to the centres linked with religious conversions, the police have arrested three persons named Prakash, Yogish and Ramesh, residing in the church area. It is learnt, that during intensive questioning, the police have learnt about the involvement of about 10 people in the incident.
As soon as the role of Hindu outfits in the attack was suspected, they sought to clear the name through a clarification statement. The police suspect, that a locally based organization is involved with the attack. Interrogations are going on and the policemen are trying to lay hands on other suspects.
Various leaders, in the meantime, visited the church premises and condemned the attck. Beltangady taluk unit of BJP too has condemned the attack on the church.
