Ace Tulu Thespian Ananda Bolar Passes away in Mumbai

Mumbai, Sep 21: Ace Tulu dramatist, 64-year-old Ananda Bolar passed away in Mumbai in early hours of Sunday, Sep 21 2008.
Bolar was part of the Lakumi troupe which is currently presenting Tulu shows in Mumbai.
He last appeared in the play 'Nambunane Nambod' on Saturday, Sep 19, 2008 in Mumbai.
Speaking to daijiworld.com, Navin Padil who is leading the Lakumi troupe said that the Tulu theatre has lost a vibrant and most talented artiste. He was an integral part of the team and was a real inspiration to the team, specially to the young talents.
As a mark of respect to the departed soul of their senior artiste, Lakumi troupe has cancelled all three shows of Sunday in Mumbai.
Anand Bolar, a versatile personality, had acted in over 7000 social and comedy plays. He had also acted in seven films, performing comedy roles. He was bestowed with the "Thowlava" Award for his contribution to Tulu theatre.
Besides the Lakumi troupe Bolar also performed in the troupes of Devdas Kapikad, Vijay Kumar Kodialbail and others
