17 dams' water level low despite rains in MP


Bhopal, Jul 24 (IANS): Despite heavy rains across Madhya Pradesh, there are still 17 dams that have not reached their maximum water level capacity, officials said on
Tueday.

The major dams that are still not full are Bargi, Tawa, Barna, Indira Sagar, Omkareswar, Bansagar, Sanjay Sarovar, Rajeev sagar, Gandhi Sagar, Madikheda, Gopi krishna,
Mahi, Halali Samrat Ashok Sagar, Kolar, Kerwa, Rajghat and Pench.

Of the 51 districts in the state, 47 have received monsoon showers from June 1 to July 23, officials said.
