Saudi Arabia: Tulu Koota Jeddah to be Launched Soon

Jeddah, Oct 12: People from and around Mangalore and Udupi district (TULUNAAD), based in Jeddah, Red Sea edges of Saudi Arabia have gathered together to plan to form a “TULU KOOTA” .
A few well known people met in Mangalorean famous restaurant “ANMOL” at Safa district in Jeddah and planned for an inaugural function to be held latest by end of this year.
Ashok Shetty hailing from Udupi district who was an active foremost member of Dubai TULU KOOTA and founder member of Karnataka Snehitaru, Jebel Ali, Dubai took an initial step to form this TULUVAS KOOTA for the first time in the history of Oldest City of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The main objective of this TULU KOOTA is to unite all Tuluvas well settled in Jeddah in a single platform and to know each other. Secondly, handing out an emergency help to the needy members and their family. One more objective is to conduct various Tulu cultural and sports events.
There were other two special objectives raised by few people. The first objective is being helping out the poor people residing in native Tulunaadu with no caste bar and the second being educational help to the poor students.
