Puttur: KSRTC bus-car collision at Kokkada, two die on spot

Puttur, Aug 6: A car and KSRTC bus collided at Kokkada on the night of Sunday, August 5 and two persons died on the spot.
Dinesh (32) and Sandesh (30) are the persons deceased. Both hailed from Dharmasthala.

As per details available, Dinesh and Sandesh were travelling in a car while the KSRTC bus going to Bengaluru from Dharmasthala hit the car. The car was completely damaged and the local youth took time to take out the bodies from the car. They later learnt that Dinesh and Sandesh were dead by then.

Uppinangadi police have registered a case.

    I think all cars should be driven responsibly at max speed of 40km/h on all non highways.. It gives enough time for drivers to negotiate curves and incoming traffic

    Not even a day pass without the news of an accidental death. I feel sad everytime an innocnet life is lost. We need better roads and regular checking by traffic police. Unless this is done many more lives will eb lost. My request drive slow adn drive in correct lane. Do not overtake at turns, Always drive carefully. FEELING SAD AND VERY SAD
