Former ISRO chairman Madhavan Nair, 4 others join BJP in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 28(DC): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah, who was on a one-day visit to Kerala, welcomed former ISRO chief Madhavan Nair into the party on Saturday in Thiruvananthapuram, reported news agency ANI.

Along with Nair, four others also joined the BJP including the former Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) President and KPCC executive committee member G Raman Nair, reports stated.

Former woman commissioner Pramila Devi, JD (S) district vice president of Karnakulam, Divakaran Nair and Thomas John from the Malankara Church, also joined the BJP at a conference on Saturday evening, according to Hindustan Times.

All the new members were felicitated with a traditional shawl by party president Amit Shah.

Shah's visit to Kerala was seen as the party's move to gain a foothold in the state. The BJP chief backed those opposing the Sabarimala verdict and warned the Pinarayi government that it was 'playing with fire' in an effort to clamp down on protestors.

Hitting back at Shah, Vijayan reminded him that the state government was not at the mercy of the BJP. "But this is a government elected by the people. Shah's speech gives the message that the electoral verdict will be sabotaged," Vijayan claimed in a statement.

There are more corrupt and evil people in this universe than few good people. BJP is the party to all those large number of bad people to hide thier past crimes, utilized thier skills and resources and contribute to BJP success. BJP is effectively making use of this huge number. A significantly low number of destined good people in BJP are like imprisoned voiceless statues.

    The Ironies of Sabrimala:

    - The Supreme Court delivers a judgement following the due course of law.
    - The Sanghi rioters refuse to accept the Supreme Court judgement, disturbs peace by rioting and creating communal tensions
    - The State Government tries to implement the rule of law by arresting those who refuse to accept and honor the Supreme Court judgement
    - The President of the ruling party in the Center threatens to dissolve/uproot the State Government if it arrests the rioters and tries to implement the judgement of the Supreme Court.

This, my friends, is the #NewIndia brought to you by Modi, Amit Shah and the BJP, where they seem to be above the law, above the Supreme Court judgement and above the Constituon.

Disclaimer: The only saving grace is that Amit Shah atleast accepted that those being arrested for rioting are all from BJP/RSS and it's affiliates.
