Mangalore: ‘Natyanjali’ Provides Stage for Talent of All Age Groups

Mangalore, Nov 17: ‘Natyanjali’, a solo Bharatnatyam dance and group folk dance competition organized by the Mangalore Musical and Cultural Association, enthralled the audience at Gitanjali here recently.
The competition was held for a wide range of contestants, from lower primary students to college students, teaching and non-teaching staff, bankers, employees, housewives and senior citizens.
The event was organized as part of ‘Kala Sangam-2008’, an annual fest that started last week. The contest will culminate with the finals of various events and distribution of prizes on Saturday November 22.
‘Kala Sangam’ is an opportunity for the young and the old to exhibit their talents in fine arts and cultural events. Chithranjali, Hastanjali, Likhanjali, Pushpanjali, Kalanjali, science model, musical instrument model, mehendi, instrumental solo, salad dressing, Mad AD, fancy dress, patriotic vocal group, filmi vocal solo, folk song group, western vocal group, and western vocal solo, are the other competitions held.
