Mangaluru: Startup Karnataka Yatra and Boot Camp to be held at Sahyadri

Mangaluru, Dec 13: The state government of Karnataka has decided to play an active role in promoting the Startup India initiative taken by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has teamed up with Invest India, department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) & SingEx Exhibitions (India) for the Startup Karnataka Yatra.

A Startup Boot Camp has been organised in Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management Campus by K-Tech Innovation Hub on December 13 and the Karnataka Yatra Mobile van will be available in the Sahyadri Campus on December 12 from 2:00 PM onwards. The programme is aimed at tapping the considerable potential of the region to scout promising entrepreneurs from non-metropolitan cities and provide them a platform through which they can pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations through incubation and mentorship from renowned institutions to help them leapfrog the limitations of the lack of resources in their region.

Students can pitch their ideas and have a great opportunity to be selected for the grand finale. Faculty will have a session on 'Train the Trainers'. This session for the faculty will facilitate them about how to promote entrepreneurship among the students.
