Doha, Jan 15: Qatar Indian Social Forum (QISF) helped to send back Shyamdas (35), a resident of Puttakulam Onninamadu of Quilon district in the state of Kerala, who was suffering from psychological disorder to his home town.
The QISF came to know about the plight of Shyamdas from Shabbiruddin Katipalya. Shyamdas was the neighbour of Sajju, who was the colleague of Shabbiruddin. Sajju conveyed that Shyamdas has been admitted into the hospital as he is mentally sick and he needs to be sent to his native place in Kerala.
When QISF team contacted the doctors of the hospital where Shyamdas was being treated, the doctors said that it is not possible to send Shyamdas to his native place in the condition in which he was in and he needs to be treated further. The members of QISF contacted the family of Shyamdas and assured them that he will be under their care till he recovers from the illness.
QISF was in continous touch of Shyamdas and visited him frequently in the hospital. In addition, there were several police cases against him. QISF team met the police officials and explained about the mental condition of Shyamdas and got all the complaints revoked.
After 18 days of treatment, the mental fitness of Shyamdas was improved greatly and he was sent back to his native place in Kerala by Latif Madikeri, Altaf Madikeri and Ashraf Puttur, members of QISF, who arranged a ticket for Shyamdas on Qatar Airways flight that took him to Cochin.
The noble deed of QISF is lauded by the family members of Shyamdas.
