Mangaluru: Traffic awareness programme held at Shakti Residential school

Mangaluru, Feb 21: In the traffic awareness programme that was organized by Shakti Residential school and Shakit PU college of Shaktinagar in the city, thorough and complete information with regards to traffic safety was given to the students of the institution by Dombaiah, asst police inspector and head constables Sanjeeva and Taslim Arif.

In his address to the students, Dombaiah said, "Evey vehicle rider or driver should ride or drive the vehicle with utmost care and alertness as the number of vehicles are increasing day by day. In addition, traffic rules should not be violated. High speed and irresponsible driving is dangerous not only for the drivers or riders but to the pedestrians and other vehicles also. People who have not attained the age of 18, should never attempt to drive."



The police officials gave satisfactory answers to numerous questions posed by the students. In addition, they also created awareness among the students with regards to the road safety.

Vidya Kamath G, principal of Shakti Residential school welcomed the gathering. Baikady Janardhan Achar, administrative officer of Shakti Education Trust, Prabhakar G S, prinicpal of Shakti PU College, Naseem Banu, development officer of the institution and Ramesh K, chief advisor were present.
