Rahul Gandhi more popular PM choice than Narendra Modi for SCs, Muslims: PSE poll

New Delhi, Mar 11 (IT): Among Scheduled Castes and Muslims, Rahul Gandhi is a more popular choice for the PM's post than Prime Minister Narendra Modi, an India Today Political Stock Exchange poll shows.

However, the poll shows PM Narendra Modi is far more popular overall with support from 52 per cent of respondents, compared to 33 per cent for the Congress president.

Forty-four per cent of Scheduled Caste voters prefer Rahul Gandhi, while 41 per cent want Narendra Modi to return as prime minister. The PSE poll shows support for Rahul Gandhi among SCs has risen by 10 per cent since January, while it has fallen by six per cent for PM Modi.

Sixty-one per cent of Muslims want Rahul Gandhi to be prime minister, up from 57 per cent in January.

Eighteen per cent of Muslims picked PM Modi -- an increase of 1 per cent compared to January.

India will hold a Lok Sabha election in seven stages between April 11 and March 23 -- the date on which votes will be counted.

The last voting day is May 19.

Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora said on Sunday that around 900 million -- or 90 crore -- people had been registered as voters for the 2019 Lok Sabha election.

These include 1.5 crore new voters in the 18-19 age group.

In a nutshell: As a crucial general election nears, an India Today PSE poll shows that among Muslim and Scheduled Caste voters, Congress president Rahul Gandhi is the front runner for the PM's post.

If the voters of this country want civilised people to rule then they will surely vote for democratic literate leaders rather than chai or pakoda makers who will only boast and bring down the quality of education and discourage the education in the tribal, dalit and farming sectors so that they can dictate terms and take away the poor people's right who cannot afford to fight legally . Only the rich will grow richer and the poor will remain behind. The poorest of poor may enjoy some given tips during the election time but after election for life long they will suffer.

Has any Astrologer ever predicted, our IAF Pilot while chasing Pakistani attacker, will land up in Pak and would be released?
Could anyone guessed, due to security lapse our 44 Jawans will loose life?
Incidents like fugitive Nirav Modi's appearance in U.K. also influence peoples mood and affect vote swing. Crude oil prices, inflation, water scarcity can affect Peoples mood!

Modi's attitude, pride, self boasting, criticism of Gandhi fly & opposition partieshas crossed all the limitations. He needs to be cooled down. Five years we had enough of speeches and never ending claims and achievements ! Same tone, same body language and expression from Modi & Amith Shah.

When Indira Gandhi entered politics, her opponents called her Goongi Gudiya (dumb doll).

    That continued for some years.

They abused her in very way possible.

Then she split Pakistan into two.

The American President Nixon said she was the only MAN in the Indian cabinet.

the biggest problem for India is all these things.. .caste, religion , minorities .. etc etc. who just see the election on their benefit. for them development, leadership, GDP .. all these . they want to see through above criteria and it's obvious to find Rahul and Congress who is ready to put carpet on these measures. It's ok , on the other side huge sector is looking for better criteria like development, leadership, GDP and will go with Modi and BJP... any ways, let's see... few more months and weeks to go.
