Mangalore, Mar 11:

His only source of funds was the money he made from selling oranges and some meager financial help from the gram panchayat. According to him, he earns about Rs 60 to Rs 100 every day and also has to feed five family members besides fulfilling his desire to see the children of his village educated.

He wants to provide computer education to the children of his school which has obtained government approval for starting a high school.

CNN-IBN news channel had selected 24 people for the award from all over the country, after considering their achievements in various fields. All the awardees were given a cash reward of Rs 5 lac and a citation each. Hajabba is said to have donated the cash award to the school.

Hajabba has also been honoured with several prestigious awards including the Republic Day award from the state government, ‘Man of the Year-2004’ award by Kannada Prabha newspaper, and the ‘Sandesha Kala Prastistana’ award.

Dear Hajabba, God bless you for your great sacrifice. Your passion, your vision and selfless service to the children of the nation, denying yours as well as your family's comfort is heart touching. THis is a real eye opener for all of us who got the best in life and yet complain for want of more and sleep over the needs of the society. Great dedication and a selfless effort by Jb. Hajabba eventhough he himself is a poor man. Being he himself in difficulties, the venture of educating hundereds of village children by such a poor man is not a joke, it really requires as strong vision, guts, efforts and follow-ups which poor Jb. Hajabba has done it. We salute you Sir. Definitely an eye opener for all of us. Many a time, Media can make wonders. Because of the publicity by media like daijiworld, this kind of selfless personalities like Hajabba get more noticed, and due to the flow of media information several big-hearted people may decide to help the projects of selfless personalities like Hajabba. So, our sincere thanks goes to media like daijiworld too. I am sure, in our beloved Dakshina Kannada District, definitely there are more hajabbas in Hindu and Christian Communities. I wish media like daijiworld recognizes their dedication too. To be very frank, we are lucky to be in a beautiful district like Dakshina Kannada which blessed with rich natural resources and great personalities. We all irrespective of our religions, have to keep up the dignity of our district. In each and every corner of the world we used to hear the praises for Mangalore and Mangaloreans, but alas! Due to some latest hurting incidents, we feel very sad to lose our credibility. Let us not support any political personality whose intentions are not clean whichever religion he belongs to. Instead, let all unitedly support clean personalities as our politicitians from any religion who will dedicate themselves to the development of D.K. PEOPLE irrespective of caste or community. Let us cultivate the selfless efforts like Hajabba and contribute for the welfare of our society. Let us support PEACE and BROTHERHOOD in Mangalore/Dakshina Kannada and in Karnataka. We wish to see MANAGALORE SHINING ALWAYS in every corner of the World!

If many of us, were like Mr.Hajabba, showing deeds more in action than in words, instead of shrugging our shoulders and looking the other way round, our country would be benefitted a lot. Mr. Hajabba has shown us all by his deeds that each person can take his share of responsibility to bring some positive change in our society in his own way. Hats off to you , Mr Hajabba ! May all your dreams come true !

Mr. Srendra Shetyy, Mangalore has made a important comment, saying that this Mr. Hajabba's works were published by "Hosa Dhigantha, Hindu Paper". Its good. I feel none of the people in India has a problem in following their own religion !!!! Problem arises when people try to screw other religions in the name of God. This can not be allowed !!! The people who are playing with the sentiments of other religions are very less in mumber....They will persih soon....This kind of atrocities against other religions in the name of God Can not continue.... They shall persih or shall be made to perish...!!!??? Most of my friends since college days and until today are Hindus. We in our group had Hindus of different caste, muslims, christians and we are in contact since our college days!!!! It will continue forever.

Janab Hajabba is ‘Real Hero of India’. First of all my respected salute for him. He has done great effort to educate poor children of the area. Mr.Hajabba looks like simple poor man earning very limited daily income of Rs.60.00 to Rs.100.00 which is hard to feed bread for his big family. Despite sky rocketing of primary food prices and other personal commitments, how a common person can manage such school project. It is not big matter, if an rich individual establishing school but here situation is different as common man struggling for bread is dedicating himself to educate village children. What a great ideal personality. Our state and central Government should help him to carry his nobel aim. Photos shows that he does not have table to arrange his awards. We all have to help his school. Thanks for CNN-IBN for recognizing Mr.Hajabba as REAL HERO and thanks for Daiji to convey Mr.Hajabba social service to worldwide.

CNN-IBN recognized the "Real Hero" Hajabba, where we Mangaloreans failed even to praise his achivement.Hats off to Rajdeep Sardesai of CNN-IBN and Walter of Daiji to given proper coverage to a real hero.Hajabba has made significant difference in the lives of the people of Harekala by his committed dedication towards the community. He is unsung Mangalorean hero, an individual who built a school with his own money of limited resources, it self is a great achievment. His spirit shoulb be example and role-model for NGO's and individuals and they should come forward to support him any possible way.The social & economical devlopment of communities though wholly responsibility of the govt.,it is impractical to develop by that only.In this scenario where the steps of Hajabba fits, and extending our helping hand to him and joining him in his task to fulfill ,is the best recognization we can give him.Let Allah bless him and his family.

Hajabba a great visionary JAI HO. A dreamer, a missionary optimistic person who is so determined to contribute to the upliftment of the society. A real wealthy rich happy person in heart, who still lives in ordinary house with minimum comfort. SIMPLE person not a POLITICIAN. who spends lavishly public money , makes a million and invest in property, real estates not in native place but far so voters still could be fooled and get him elected regularly too. All mostly s.indians and associations especially in gulf feel the pride in inviting politician’s just one reason? Mileage, to get noticed and to pat themselves to feel the proudness. Get to reality!! which ever politicians visits gulf or other foreign countries they enjoy the best hospitality to the core even go to the extent promising so many things which they forget as soon as they reach back. For e.g. Eddi the cheep minister went to gulf Bahrain, people treated him like demi God. In hour of need he couldn’t even give a simple statement condemning attack on women how stupid that? Its not about religion here I dint mention attack on churches if I had to mention people would relate to religion. Even ordinary people with basic common sense will reasonout that this is waste of time and money from these associations which feels the pride by calling these donkeys. Few will still argue that NRI'S and some industrialists have got opportunities back home in native place, that would have happened more faster n neat manner if the officials from the Govt.side made the trip. They are the real people who run the show even Govt.changes or these corrupt and selfish politicians change the party’s . We Indians Fail to recognize and see the real contributors to the society, These so called politicians none take out money from their pocket, not even for the charity but spend lavishly, live life with comfort ness and its all public money. Are v public fails to c that? Hajabba, Cheers, People like u inspire many to do some Good . Jai ho

In this regard, no words to appreciate Mr. Hajabba as he did a Guinness record. Congratulation Sir Hajabba, as well as thanks to Diajiworld for publishing such things.

It was "Hosa Diganta" newspaper (run by RSS related organisations) which first recognised achievements of Mr.Hajabba many years ago. I am just pointing it out because recent campaign against Hindutva forces in Mangalore has portrayed RSS as anti-minority etc. Then newspaper "Kannada Prabha" recognised him and presented an award.
