Kuwait: Rudy Dsouza Omzur Elected President of KCWA

Kuwait, Mar 28: Rudy D'Souza has been unanimously elected as the president of Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA), for the year 2009-2011.
Rudy D’Souza hails from Omzoor parish is very popular in KCWA community for his friendly, soft speaking and humorous nature. He is also a writer, compere, actor and a good Konkani speaker. He was also served as Vice President of KCWA for two terms.
The KCWA which is a the largest Mangalorean Catholic Association in Kuwait conducted its election to the new office bearers for the year 2009-2011 on Friday March 27 at Indian English Academy School (Don Bosco), Salmiya.
A three-member election commission of Jossie Pinto, Joel Lewis and Nelly Colaco was set up for this purpose. The election procedure started at 6:30 pm with prayer by Rinna D’souza followed by welcome speech by President Jossie Pinto. General Secretary Tressy Cutinho read the minutes of last general body meeting.
Member of the Election Commission Jossie Pinto introduced the executive committee members who were elected unanimously which is a tradition in the KCWA from beginning.

Elected Executive Committee shared few words with the gathering. The spiritual director spoke few encouraging words to the new committee and gathered members. Lucky draw was conducted for the gathered members. Nelly Colaco thanked the gathering. The program Concluded with prayer by Dulcine Coelho and delicious dinner from Little India Restaurant.
