Kinnigoli, Apr 10: Nearly 2000 years ago Jesus Christ washed the feet of his 12 disciples as a symbol of Love and obedience and had his last suffer before his crucification on Good Friday. To mark this event symbolically Maundy Thursday was celebrated in Kinnigoli Church today with traditional devotion.

Rev Fr. Alfred Pinto washed the feet of 12 ward representatives of the church as a symbolic gesture of recalling this great event, followed by a mass at the church.

Yes Michael, I too noticed the same. It is called "Vestments". It is given in the bible, Jesus removed his outer garment and wrapped a towel around his waist and washed the feet of apostles.
