Sydney, Jun 29: A pregnant woman of Indian descent drowned after falling into water in Tweed Heads near here. The woman's body was found Monday, close to the luxury cruiser she disappeared from.

"Police divers found the body of Prashila Wilson close to the 30-metre luxury cruiser she disappeared from on the weekend," the Herald Sun reported Monday.

Her husband Michael Seery had reported her missing.

Superintendent Michael Kenny said police were called to the Ivory Coast Marina at Tweed Heads at about 11.30 p.m. Saturday to investigate the 37-year-old's disappearance.

He said Wilson could not swim and was six months pregnant.

"Police undertook searches of the area that evening and on Sunday," Kenny was quoted as saying.

"On Sunday night police divers from Sydney arrived and started their search of the marina on Monday morning.

"At around 11.30 a.m. a deceased woman was found in the confines of the marina."

He said detectives would continue their investigations into the death.

Kenny said the couple, from Robina on the Gold Coast, spent a lot of time on board their cruiser.

"It's my belief they used the vessel for recreation purposes and frequently stayed on board," he said.
