Udupi: Everyone will get fruits of deeds - Sri Nischalananda Swamiji

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (PH)

Udupi, Nov 28: Sri Nischalananda Swamiji from Shankaracharya Puri Govardhana Peetham, visited Sri Krishna Mutt on the evening of Wednesday November 27.

Nischalananda Swamiji said that Hindus are innocent and their religious feelings are hurt by the actions of other communities. "Hindus are open-minded. We are not against the Muslim community but we cannot compromise on the issue of Ram Janma Bhoomi. We cannot sacrifice even an inch of land for the Muslims in Rama Janma Bhoomi. Hindus are not opposed to the Muslims as evidenced by the fact that in a country where majority of people are Hindus, there have been many Muslim Presidents, home minister and supreme court judges,”

He also said that when Narasimha Rao was the Prime Minister, Pejawar Swamiji and others had agreed on the advice of Ashok Singhal for a compromise formula, but he himself never agreed for a compromise."If Pejawar Swamiji and others had not agreed for the compromise and if Narasimha Rao had continued as the Prime Minister, Hindus would have got Ram Janma Bhoomi long back," he remarked. He opined that Parliament is above Supreme Court and BJP has a majority in the Parliament. "Hence Rama Mandir will be built without any doubt. In a democracy, people are supreme," the Swamiji asserted.

Nischalananda Swamiji said that after partition, Hindus had sacrificed a lot. However, he added that they are not prepared to give up Ram Janma Bhoomi. He also said that while Hindus are not against the Muslims, no Masjid should come up in India in the name of Babur.

During interaction relating to Sabrimala issue, he said that restrictions on religious basis are scientific. "Like certain restrictions imposed in worldly affairs, religious restrictions are there, and Sanyasis have lot more restrictions. The restrictions are stringent for a Brahmin while it is less for others. Everyone from the highest placed person to the civic worker, will get fruits of their deeds (Karma) which cannot be avoided or swindled," he enumerated.

On this occasion, Pejawar Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji interacted with Sri Nischalananda Swamiji on Ayodhya and other issues. Local MLA, K Raghupati Bhat, was present.

After the interaction, Nischalananda Swamiji met Palimaru Vidyadeesha Theertha Swamiji at Krishna Math.
