Jubail, Nov 19: AMACO Saudi Arabia felicitated Khader, MLA Mangalore, in colorful ceremony here in Jubail Yesterday. UT Khader is on a private visit to Saudi Arabia. AMACO, an engineering enterprise run by Asif, a mangalorean, had organized this mega event to provide a joint platform for various social organizations of Mangaloreans in Saudi Arabia to have an open talk with their political representative. The newly inaugurated luxurious hall at hotel COOKXON in Jubail provided the sophisticated set up needed for this stylish function of the evening.
Parvez Ali, the representative of Karavali Welfare Association brought to the attention of UT Khader the long pending demand of direct flights to Mangalore and urged the MLA to take some concrete steps to realize the dream of the people of coastal region . VS Kamath , the representative of West Coast Organization enumerated the efforts done by his organization towards achieving direct flights between Saudi Arabia and Mangalore and requested the MLA to be a harbinger in this regard to earn the good will of Mangalorean diaspora in Saudi Arabia.representatives from organizations such has dakisha Karnataka sunni center,jamiyaithul falah Damam,kannada sanga,Indian fraternity forum.bama jubail,karavali welfare association Riyad,west coast jubail,Amaco cricket club were present in this occasion.
Replying to felicitation , Khader appreciated the efforts done by various organizations of Dakshina Kannada in uniting the people of the region in one culture and tradition and asked them to continue the same with good spirit. Mr. Khader promised that he would sincerely try for the introduction of direct flights between Mangalore and Saudi Arabia. He expressed dissatisfaction that direct flights to Saudi Arabia didn’t become a reality even after its introduction to Dubai sector way back in 2005. He assured to raise the matter with the central ministers Krishna and Praful Patel and arrange a meeting between Mangalorean organizations and the ministers.
