Mangalore: Tight Police Security Lighten V-day Mood

Mangalore: Tight Police Security Lighten V-day Mood
Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SB)

Mangalore, Feb 14: The Valentine’s Day mood was upbeat in the city as the boys and girls, wanting to profess their love or spend some quality time with their partners, had none other than men in uniform acting as their guardian angels.

The V-day hotspots such as malls, parks, restaurants and beaches were made safer for the couples with police security all over. Sri Rama Sene (SRS) members who warned of dire consequences for couples indulging in indecent behaviour faced a tight spot due to police vigilance.

In the morning, police took into custody several SRS members at Kottara here, who were moving to disrupt Valentine’s Day celebrations at several places in heart of the city. The members were also intending to hold a protest against the celebration in front of the Bharat Mall, which was thwarted by the police action.

However, the young lovers slowly thronged the hotspots with mixed feelings only after late morning hours in the backdrop of threat by the moral police.

Dear Mr. Guruprasad, Mangalore, I quote your words "People in this country like to imitate the wester culture just like Monkeys imitate human behaviours. Unquote. People of this country obviously imitate western culture which is true and correct. Humans are rationale to imitate whereas Monkeys are not rationale and how monkeys imitate human behaviors? Self explanatory

Joel. you are NUTS. Why do we celebrate SHIVRATRI and DEEPAVALI is because its a HINDU Festival, just link Christmans is for Christians like you. HINDUS have all the RIGHTS in this country to celebrate it and even outside INDIA. Valentines Day is not a Festival that it needs to be celebrated. Do not compare Valentines day with HINDU festivals, you can compare it with Christmas or good friday if you want to. Valentines day is no where related to any INDIAN festival or culture. People in this country like to imitate the wester culture just like Monkeys imitate human behaviours.

For all those who critisize Valentines day n ask people not to celebrate it on the 14th of Feb...Y do people celebrate Deepavali or Shivaratri just on the date that it comes every Year and why dont they celebrate it anytime of the year... Its the Same with Valentines Day too.. Every day has its own Importance thats the reson its being celebrated on that particular day..N for those who say its western culture we dont need it.. Can u please ask ur fellow friends to stop celebrating Indian festivals in western countries,, If Western culture should not come into the country then its got to be Vice versa as well....

Puplic display of love is unwanted. Val day is a craze in India propoted by card companies in globalised world. oppose public display but promote art like it is depicted in hindu temples, eg Khajuraho. The sexual love has nothing to do east or west its reproductive human, plant and animals process. The so called love should be everday life you dont need a special day for public display.

valentines day was vigourously promoted with commercial interest by greeting card manufacturers and other gift article sellers. Everyone loves somebody or the other. even Veerappan loved his wife. The point here is that Is it necessary to flaunt your love in public ? Love and sex are very private matters and nobody can and will object. Public parade of love by teenagers is of recent origin in India by those who are filthy rich and and by urbanites. If you go to rural areas they donot know what is Valentine & who is valentine. Therefore it is a mere show and nothing else. there is nothing to oppose or to support in this

I dont believe in Valentines Day and neither I oppose those who want to celebrate it as everybody should have freedom to choose what is right and what is wrong. Message for Ramasena and Bajrangdal is that these pictures and this Valentine culture is better than the sexual Immoralities sculpted on the temples of Khajuraho and many more temples of India!

So if you want to keep this world culture clean than go and destroy them, as they have infected virus in the western culture, where men are having sex with animals and entertaining group sex. This culture of Khajuraho is older than western culture which means west was infected by east!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9MEYrCI45E Clean your house first before mocking on others..

There are jealousy people and cowards in all levels including ministerial level. Some people like Mrs. or Mr. Fathima (hidden behind a female name)and some ministers cannot digest the happiness of youngsters. Their understanding of love begins and ends in the bedroom. Such people have not seen or experienced anything other than bedroom love. They are still inside the nutshell and will never come out of it. When the society of child marriage, dowry practice and forcible marriage wants to come out of it and live a free life of their choice, our own illiterate society including some ministers opposing it with their own theory. There must be some hidden agenda, we must find out what it is?

Few weeks back I have questioned Fathima's identity on her blasphemous remarks on Islam. Many of my christian friends have defended her. I know from the day one that she is supporter and advocate of hate and devision and its not her given name but just a proxy name to misguide the readers. Shame Fathima, please come out and shed off your fake skin and dare enough to use your real name. This forum is free and u dont have to worry in using ur real name.

The police is still not educated to impliment the law .Instead of standing like watchman they can arrest the key players and get remand for one week then all the other petty players will sit at home. What we see here is the police has become weak to control the situation. The police shown us that there is threat to the public from the Sene or BD and they are guarding us other than arresting them.

What world do you live in? Relegion is a not supported by any political supporters. Do you need some one else to make you belive in God? How lifeless you are.... Do not make yourself stupid by letting others know about your idea of religion... Do you ever hear congress celabrating Christmas, or BJP a Dipawali, or Janatha Dal Iid Festivals? Fathima, (I know it is not your true name and you are an hidden identity), do not beat the drums of conversion again. How many times do you want us to tell you to bring and show atleast one person who is converted by force. If someone gets converted voluntarily because he/she sees the truth in a particular religion, what is wrong in it ? Don't I have the freedom to leave my religion and embrace any other religion if I find it showing the right path to God ? If at all your name is really Fathima, then coversion topic doesn't look nice with your name. I have been living in Gulf for the last 35 years and had so many financial 'offers' for conversion.

But, I have strong faith in my religion and no force and no wealth of entire world can convince me to change my religion. Now, you tell me why some people get converted ? Is it not because they lose faith in their religion ? If you do not want to celebrate Valentine, well, don't. But, what right do you have to force your neighbor to stop from celebrating it ? Dear Fathima, may be you are grown very old and are jealous with teen agers. Pls. leave them alone. If everyone put their own family in order first instead of poking nose in neighbors affirs, we wouldn't have to see todays pathetic state in Mangalore.

Nobody can stop you mate! go ahead and enjoy ur time with the lady in red. cheers Its Muthalik the first person to enjoy the valentine, he is celebrating it in style!doesnt matter blackish or pinkish. We are living in a democratic country and we are free to express our feelings. Ignore all these self proclaimed saviors of the culture, come out in larger groups and oppose all these illiterate groups. Some of our state ministers might say that, we should not import outside culture. Tell them to change their dress code to dothi kurtha rumal and travel comforts to bullock cart and then impose terms on others. Chief Minister of Karnataka has spent 42 lacks tax payers money to refurbish his bedroom although he is single (we don’t know how many imported items are fixed). In total he has spent 1. 6 Crores to refurbish his bungalow. He travels by an imported Honda CRV as though we in India do not have competent car manufacturers. First let them mend their way of living then advise us how to live. They wear pant, shirt and shoes because they are comfortable with it although it is western culture. When they are comfortable with western attire, they have no right to tell us how to live our life.

Life is nothing but a ray of hope to every human being and to love and to be loved is something special which renew the happiness of life. Rama Sene or Bhajrangdal are sadists and most of them are criminal sheeted elements. They are eve teasers and drunkcards and feel jealous when they find boys roam around with girls. I know that every one agree with me as mostly every one has seen these elements on Mangalore streets and cinema halls and buss stops and even in busses. I love valentine day and I celebrate it in Bharath Mall Mangalore today evening at 6p.m. with my lady love. Let Rama Sene or Bhajarangis come and stop me. I will teach them a lesson of their lives.

After seeing above picture I feel like what Ram Sena is doing today is right.'love' is not the thing showing all in the garden and the street. Love stays in your heart. Love is a husband caring and sharing with his wife, and vise-versa. Love a mother caring her children and childrens loving their father and mother. But not this street love - spoiling our young generation. This love will end up with one day in a bed. I don't agree Ram Sena protesting in violent way, but I support them to against this day in a peaceful way.
