Mangalore: Triple Celebrations Coming Up at Father Muller

Mangalore, Mar 10:  The Institution Day, Graduation Ceremony of Father Muller Charitable Institutions and the Decennial Finale of Father Muller Medical College will take place at Father Muller Stadium on Saturday March 13.

Around 388 graduates from the medical college, school and college of nursing will graduate on the day which also marks the 169th birth anniversary of the founder Fr Augustus Muller.

Dinesh Trivedi, minister of State for Health and Family will be the chief guest. Justice (Rtd) N Santosh Hegde, Lokayukta, Karnataka, Alfredo Pires, secretary of State for natural resources, Democratic Republic of Timor Leste will be the guests of honour. Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese and president of Father Muller Charitable Institutions, will preside.

On the occasion of decennial year, the founder director, administrator and the dean will be felicitated. Research journal and the decennial souvenir will be released. The first team of staff members and the first batch of graduates will also be felicitated on the occasion. Around five thousand people comprising graduates, post graduates, staff, parents, guests and students will gather to witness the triple celebration.

Father Muller Charitable Institutions which was started in 1999 is in its 130th year of fruitful service to humanity in the area of healthcare. Father Muller School of Nursing and Father Muller Homeopathic Medical College have completed 50 and 25 years respectively. Father Muller College of Nursing is on the anvil of its 25th year.

Fr Denis D'Sa, administrator, Father Muller Medical College, Dr J P Alva, dean, Father Muller Medical College,  Sudeep M J Pais, lecturer, department of  physiotherapy, and media convenors were present at the press meet.
