Media Release

Mangaluru, Nov 5: Jai Jawan Jai Kisan, a term coined by the second Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadhur Shastri, demonstrates the value that we Indians give to the two most important people in the country, a soldier and a farmer. While one feeds us, another protect us. The life of a soldier is really very uncertain but he is not scared of it. For him, defence of the country is his foremost duty and responsibility.

The Indian Army is omni present. A soldier never shirks from responsibility. He fights in the most difficult terrains on the hills and mountains, plains and forests. The defence of the country is the only mission of his life. The role which a soldier plays while safeguarding the frontiers of the motherland, is paramount and unique. He lives for the nation and dies for its dignity. He makes history and history immortalises him.

A unique gesture was thought off, under the able guidance of Neema Saxena, by the cultured faculty of Shree Gopalakrishna Pre-School and Shakthi Residential School to cheer the warriors at the Ladakh border striving day in and out to create a secure environment for its subjects. The sacrifice they make, the weather extremities they face and the integrity that keeps them going was something that lead the teachers to put in their warm wishes on the approach of Deepavali. Beautiful handmade cards, in the name of the most deserving noble souls who have left behind their family, friends, recreation and fun, was on view in the Shakthi campus on November 5, 2020.

Dr K C Naik, the administrator of Shakthi Group of Institutions cherished the role of Indian Army and opined that “Today if we feel secure it is because of them. Soldiers are the most respected and honoured people of the country, and rightfully so, given the amount of sacrifice they do with their personal lives so that the country is safe and sound. Their sufferings in the cold season is unexplainable. Soldiers are the lifeline of our country and we feel happy to convey Deepavali wishes to them on behalf of Shakthi Group of institutions” he said.
