Udupi: Admar Swamiji backs Pejawar seer's statement on Brahmin girls

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (MS)

Udupi, Mar 26: Admar Swamiji expressed his support to the statement given by Pejawar seer on Brahmin girls.

In his statement, Admar Swamiji said, "Many have criticised the statement given by Pejawar seer. However, I support his statement wholeheartedly. Children no longer staying under the watchful eye of their parents. This is why Pejwar seer made that statement out of concern for the youth of today. Education is losing its value, youngsters are going astray. Parents are lamenting that there is no one to look after them in the later stages of their life."

"The situation of youth who are neglecting their families is also getting worse. There is nothing wrong if parents try to stop their child from going down the wrong path in life. How is it wrong if parents direct the way in which their children should lead a life?

"Decisions that are taken in haste end in a disaster. Children should be careful while taking decisions. Pejawar seer has not done any mistake as spoke words to prevent people from going off track. He has spoken out of concern for society. However, there are people making false allegations to gain publicity."

Pejawar seer had made a comment where he stressed that girls from the Brahmin community should abstain from marrying outside the community. The statement had attracted attention and had become a topic of discussion.

Brahmin girls are not ready to marry village boys, read below: "The problem,” according to R. Shankar, “is that educated and beautiful girls from good families only want to marry software engineers living in America. Brahmin boys from rural areas stand no chance.” Shankar and his friends T.N. Prasad and N.R. Sudhir are the new-age matchmakers within the Shivalli community. Scouting for marriageable girls at orphanages across the State is fast becoming their fulltime occupation. They say that the worsening farm crisis and dipping education indices among boys in the community are rendering them ineligible for marriage. Shankar and Prasad are all for inter-caste marriages as well, but Sudhir is against the concept. “Marrying orphans and converting them as Shivallis is controversial in itself,” said Sudhir. The groom’s younger brother B.P. Madhusudan, a shy man in his late 20s, is preparing to follow suit. “I too want to get married here,” are the only words The Hindu could coax out of him.

What happened to the slogan "ಹಿಂದು ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ ಒಂದು". There will be no progress in the system of community when saviours of religion itself engage in promoting castiesm.

Why only Brahmin girls? Why not girls of all religions and communities? What about Brahmin boys; no such restrictions for them? In the 21st century, talking this kind of crap is ridiculous. These people are tight lipped when so many girls are raped and murdered across the country.

Have you found the reason why Brahmin girls are marrying outside thier community??????.....Simply putting heavy handed restrictions in a dictator way is not the solution in this modern world. You too need to be wise and ungraded enough to solve the issue. BTW, don’t think in terms of effect on vote bank. It would be another disaster waiting to explode.
