Mangaluru: Srinivas University College of Aviation Studies celebrates virtual World Environment Day

Mangaluru, Jun 7: College of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University (SU) on Saturday June 5 conducted a virtual World Environment Day celebration.

NSS and Social Service wing of the College of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University virtually organised various activities such as planting saplings and discussion on environmental issues.

Guest of Honour, former director of Mangalore International Airport and chairperson of the College of Aviation Studies Professor M R Vasudeva, special guests associate professor of the department of Chemistry- SUCET, Mukka Dr Shubra Jyotsna Aithal and research director of the College of Management and Commerce Dr Shailashree V T presided over the function and inspired the students to work collectively for the protection of the earth and emphasised the need to build a greener world.

Chief guest vice-chancellor of Srinivas University Dr P S Aithal said the objective of celebrating Environment Day was to make the younger generation more sensitive towards environmental protection. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by the course coordinator of BBA Aviation Studies, Professor Kavyashree. Around 254 students actively participated in the entire event.

The event was planned and coordinated by Professor Jayaprakash, NSS and Unnath Bharath coordinator under the guidance of Professor Pavitra Kumari, dean of the College of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University.

The faculty members of the Aviation College were present for the programme.
