Kundapur, Jul 7: “The Modi government has failed to control prices during the complex Covid conditions. The daily wage worker is made to empty his earnings in the grocery shop and return empty-handed. It appears that the governments at the centre and the state have lost their five senses,” said Kundapur block congress committee president Kanmakki Hariprasad Shetty.
He was speaking after a cycle rally by Kundapur block Congress near Shastri circle, here, on Wednesday opposing the rise in prices by the governments at the centre and the state.
“The BJP governments are ditching the people by constantly increasing prices of oil, gas and items of daily use. The BJP leaders are unfit to continue in their positions. Let them leave their chairs if they are unable to control prices,” said the protesters.
“The people in the coastal region have given complete freedom to BJP but the BJP party MLA and MPs are silent sitting at homes. The government tries to stop our protests through the police but our protests in favour of ordinary people and anti-people policies of the government will continue,” said Hariprasad Shetty.
