Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Nov 21: Fr Valerian Lewis, parish priest of Infant Mary Church, Katipalla passed away on the evening of Sunday November 21 due to cardiac arrest. He was 55.

Fr Lewis experienced breathlessness all of a sudden during the adoration of holy sacrament and was rushed to a private hospital, where he breathed his last.

Born in Puttur in 1966 to Antony Lewis and Catherine Lewis (nee Lobo), Fr Lewis was ordained priest in 1995.

He served as assistant parish priest in Barkur and Vamanjoor, as assistant director in Jeppu parish, and as parish priest in Kokkada, Sullia and Manjeshwar.

Since 2019, he was serving as parish priest of Katipalla.

He was known for his soft-spoken nature and administrative skills. It was during his tenure that the new Manjeshwar church was built.

The last rites will be held on Tuesday November 23 at 10 am at Katipalla church.

Too young for a Pastor to go. But I am sure Fr. Valerian had prayed everyday for a happy death. What more privilege can a person get when the Lord calls him in front of the Blessed Sacrament during Adoration. Rest in peace Fr. Vallie and enjoy a well earned eternal Bliss !

It is sad and shocking to hear this news. Too young to go. May the Lord Grant Fr. Valerian Eternal Rest and may his soul rest in peace in Heaven we pray. While we pray for him, we sincerely pray for his family members, near and dear ones. We pray for our Mangalore Diocese, who has lost a young and talented priest. We pray for Fr. Valerian's dear classmates in Seminary and friends that God may Bless you all with strength and courage to accept this sudden loss of your beloved one. Rest in Peace Fr. Valerian, you have gone too soon. But you are one of those lucky ones who was called while you were in prayer, during the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

Not able to accept the sudden death of Fr.Valerian who is quiet, soft spoken moreover a silent worker. You will be remembered as the correspondent of Kokkada, Sullia, Manjeshwar and Katipalla Schools. You always focused on the betterment of these schools and very cooperative with the management and was discussing issues very mildly. CBE is grateful for your services dear father and you will be remembered dearly. We have no other option than to accept the will of God. Good bye father, rest in peace.

It’s hard to digest that Fr. Valerian is no more. We were together in the seminary for 9 years . Eight of us ordained together at Milagres. Last Sunday I was with Fr. Valerian at Katipalla Church for a casual friendly visit. He was expressing his , vision and hurdles of his parish ministry and future plans. Fr. Vally was a simple , silent hard working priest . He was sincere and deeply committed to his ministry. He served in the remote parishes like Kokada and Sulliya, distance or location was not at all a matter for him. Willingly with happiness and joy he served there with dedication . Whichever place he served , people loved him and he loved his flock. He was a deeply spiritual man… he used to tell me ‘ no worries I surrender everything to my Lord in prayer . He would plan and make a thorough study of everything with proper consultation and approval by his superiors before taking up any project. Every time and every where Reaching out to the needy was his priority…. I just can’t understand the plan of the Almighty , yet just surrender to his will… and pray that the Good Lord keep Our brother priest in his bosom .

May his soul rest in peace. If we see the obituaries everywhere in the word, this has become a trend, since many months. I sincerely put the blame on experimental vaccine. Therefore we need to be prepared for our final journey. Baggage of good deeds is a must. Death comes like a thief, that also with Cardiac Arrest it is in a instant. No time even to say sorry. No use of all earthly things, that will be eaten by moths or swindled or wasted.

Sudden deaths and strokes have increased exponentially after the start of experimental jabs! In my family and friend circle itself atleast 8 innocent people have suddenly succumbed after taking these experimental jabs! Now a major pharma company has gotten approval for a drug which is clearly stated as experimental! Take your own decisions!

Sudden deaths are increasing? Following part of referenced news on health Impact News, even doctors are dying suddenly but looks like surviving doctors don't blame on good covid 'savior' vaccines... "Here are some recent reports of medical doctors who “died suddenly.” In almost all of these stories in the corporate media they will blame the deaths on “COVID.”... Rest in Peace Fr.
