Mangaluru: Founder’s 109th Birth Anniversary Celebrated at Bharath Beedi Works

Mangaluru, February 8: The Bharath Beedi Works Pvt. Ltd., Kadri observed the 109th Birth Anniversary of the company’s founder B Manjunath Pai as its Founder’s Day on Tuesday, February 9.

Speaking on the occasion, executive director Subraya M Pai said that due to the founder’s vision and spirit of enterprise, the company has been able to provide employment to thousands of families and become a pillar of strength for their livelihood. The founder’s concern for society was enormous, he said.

General manager of Canara Bank, Yogish Acharya lauded the company’s young directors. The company is engaged in various fields apart from beedi industry. The younger generation is taking the company forward on the path of progress by following the Founder Late Manjunath Pai’s ideals and hardworking nature, he said.

Chartered Accountant Shivanand Pai lauded company’s work culture. Speaking on the occasion, director Sudhir M Pai said the founder’s production, marketing and distribution model is an inspiration even for the present generation.

Directors Nagendra D Pai, Anand G Pai, Venkatesh M Pai, all managers and company staff as well as the officers of other banks were present.

Secretary B Vasudev S Pai welcomed the gathering and narrated the founder’s journey.
